In its 7^th year, the RBIS program continues to promote literacy by increasing the incentive for children ages 5-12 to read.

Last year, several hundred public libraries throughout Connecticut participated.  Through RBIS, the Rock Cats reward young readers with a voucher redeemable for a Reserved Seat to a Summer Reading Recognition Night game at the New Britain Stadium.  A great complement to any summer reading program! The Rock Cats believe that the RBIS program will provide an incentive for children ages 5-12 to continue reading throughout the year.  Last year several hundred libraries throughout Connecticut participated in the program.  Participants in the RBIS program receive a Reserved Seat to one of three pre-selected games.  Check with your local public library or the Rock Cats for details about this program.
